Social bullying, sometimes referred to as relational or covert bullying, is often harder to recognize and can be carried out behind the bullied person’s back. It is designed to harm someone’s social reputation and/or cause humiliation.
Social bullying (sometimes referred to as relational bullying), involves hurting someone’s reputation or relationships. Social bullying includes:
- Leaving someone out on purpose
- Telling other children not to be friends with someone
- Spreading rumors about someone
- Embarrassing someone in public
Note: Social bullying may become Cyberbullying if they use hi-tech gadgets like PC’s, laptops, iPads or iPhones, Social networks, E-mails, Text messaging clients like Skype or others to bully.
